I gotta do something with my suspension, but I cant afford to do much.:( I'd just want maybe another inch, but I would really like some springs or something to make it stiffer. Seriously its so weak i can stand in the bed or on the running boards and just rock it like nothing.

And don't even talk about goin through corners fast...dat bitch lean yo

LT is pretty smooth haha but if you worried then just keep it moderate and go mid travel

Wait till you can afford to replace it right.

I know. But its still free. Im either going to cut the mounts off the axle and just swap in the whole axle housing. Or I think there is a way to modify my axle housing to fit the locker. Am I correct?

Yea I think some people have done it. It's not really recommended..I think the easiest way is to just cut off the coil perches and weld on leaf perches.

So the best way is to just cut the perches off and weld leaf perches on. Are the 4runner gears the same as tacomas? The 4runner is a 97

Yea they are pretty much identical. Gears should be the same if it was a 4x4 manual(4.10)

I believe the BPV is on the wrong side though as well.

I have seen some threads on TTORA of people doing it so I know it's been done. I'd do a search over there.

Then it's pretty safe to say its a 4.10 diff.

It'll be easy to check though. Just mark the diff side with chalk and one of the shaft ends. Then spin the diff side and count how many times it takes to spin the diff till the wheel shall does one full revolution. If its real close to 4 your good. If its just under or just over you'll have an issue as it would be 3.90 or 4.30 or by some super rare chance 4.56.

I'd be fairly confident it's at 4.10 though.

Lets say those gears are the same as mine. Would i be able to swap in my gears into the 4runner housing?

Because the 4runner has 240K miles on it. Idk I thought it would be better to put mine in because they have less miles, less wear and tear
    And thanks for the link!
