The absolute catastrophic damage in NJ and NY is unreal. I'm glad where our summer place is in DE they were pretty unscathed for the most part outside of flooding in some of the coastal communities and route 1 have several feet of sand on it near the Indian River Inlet. Some areas seemed hit hard but compared to Jersey and NY it's nothing. Goes to show you can't focus in on the category of the storm. They were saying this was going to be historic for days and it certainly came true. Luckily here in PA wasn't too bad. Winds picked up pretty good last night and there quite a few power outages in my area and some trees down but nothing too bad that you wouldn't see just from a really bad thunderstorm coming through.

From my buddy that lives on ocean ave next to D jays in belmar.

Foundation to the house mostly destroyed. Deck supports snapped. Gas leaks and water mane breaks. Garage completely leveled.

My other buddy is a engineer for Mta and was in rockaway. Said his field office was gone and there were fires everywhere. Septic tanks ripped out, heating oil everywhere. He said he has lots of footage.

lmao at the escalade pic, I approve. My friend put all his cars on jack stands. I don't think he his cars fared as well as that escalade.

Making sure the docks don't float away when they go over the poles and then putting them back on the poles when the tide drops so they don't get hung up or flip over and float away. Last night we had some steel plates break and I had to tie off some docks before they floated away. At the end of last night only 2 of 17 poles were tall enough to actually do anything. I also string them up to land tight and when it's all over with and tide goes down I need to slack the lines.

So yea, basically watching waiting, getting wet, and freezing my ass off. My moms 70 and she can't take care of any of this sort of thing. It reassures her that I'm there keeping an eye on things. I made sure to limit her knowledge as well. Need to filter out the bad and give her more good.

What really pisses me off is they are coming out Nov 10th. If they were out I would not care at all.

Yea I was scarred last night. Not so much today. Last night it was very hard to see how fast the tide was moving and me being stupid got the Taco stranded. It was nice being warm though. Not sure if I would of made it all night being soaked without heat from the truck.
