Then again do I want to take another chance with a used bearing? and used parts, the backing plate on this fucker was all rusty anyway and the stock one is nice and clean and pretty.

The bearings? Yes, they're both good. I'm just worried I won't be able to save them when taking them off.

I wish. A 14 bolt is a real possibility down the line though.

Lots of Krylon satin black. Tried Krylon clear UV resistant and it fucking sucked! Orange peel, haze, wouldn't go on even, no matter what I tried, it looked like shit. I ended up just painting over it with more Krylon satin black. We'll see how it holds up. :/ Something tells me I'll be re-doing it in the future with duplicolor clear or something. Pisses me off. For now though I really like the look of it.

Ok ok ok...I'll be "that guy."
What did you paint? The bumper?

For the record the duplicolor clear is probably the worst clear I have ever worked with. I tried it once and never used it again on projects. The can of clear has since been recycled as a flame thrower device for garage spiders.

Maybe all clear coats suck then huh?

Honeycomb grill from a newer truck painted black. That's all.

Honestly my best luck with spray paint has always been with Krylon. However I gave up on clear after the duplicolor incident.
For things like bumpers, frame, skid plates, etc etc etc, I'm a big fan of the Rustolium spray on bedliner after a primer. Not only does it hide blemishes and unsightly welds, it gives a really and EVEN texture. I find myself standing on my bumpers/bed cage quite frequently and that texture makes all the difference in the world if its wet or inclement.

Yeah that's on my flares, it's held up great so maybe if I have to fuck with this grill again that's what I'll do.

Really I just wanted the honey comb.

Sorry think I read this this morning on my way to school. Plans are tentatively to go camping out near Austin this weekend. I'll be passing Sand Mountain but I can't afford anything like that anyhow.

Is free too much for you? Yes I won't buy one but I'll have fun driving one and won't say no if I win one.
I've got some nice under sleeping bag insulation for you, still got my number?
