I think they have problems with head spacing and the rolling blocks. I would suggest looking around and getting an imbel or I hear DSA makes a good version of the FAL. I think that Century has the CETME I dont think they actually make the FAL.

How do you like the UBR? Almost went that route, I like the adjustability, but nobody had it for me to try and handle/feel

And for people running scabbards, my Marinecoat JIC Mossy 500 pistolgrip fits perfect in my OD Scabbard

They are doing some amazing things with polymers these days but still I probably wouldn't buy one. I can't remember what forum I was reading the other day about them and the people weren't to impressed by them. Ill try to go find it and reread it

Edit: It was the bushmaster carbon lower I was reading about, not the polymer. Interested to see what people say about it

I bought a polymer lower as my first build. The gunsmith at shop it was transferred to was impressed with. The only thing he didn't like was that the take down pins were "plastic".

I read up on them and found that a lot of folks liked them. Of course you have the people who are against them but eh.

    Check out New Frontier Armory.

Aim Surplus had one at one time that was a polymer lower with all metal internals, I think it was an Omni lower. I think they were selling this complete for around 100.00. I thought about buying one for a .22 build. I am at work so Aim is blocked, otherwise I would throw up a link.

You can buy a blem aluminum lower for $60. Why bother with the plastic ones?
