    This too.

    Also,

I have one free rebuild from fox for all of my shocks. I think im going to call that one in here soon. Going to have them change my stack's while their at it. Starting to look into what I should run. I have nooo clue about what to put in there.. Anyone know anywhere I should start that could lead me in the right direction? I was recommended to send all of my suspension footage over to the shock expert at DSM..

X2. Dampening is valving, its the same thing. As said its not magic, the 2nd shock provides dampening with a valve stack, the same valve stack thats in your first shock. You can get the same resistance with one stack, it just creates more heat. So unless your overheating your primary shock you should try revalving before you just throw money at more shocks. Yes a secondary is beneficial but only if you drive your truck in a way that demands it

Truck bottoming out with off the shelf valving on a coilover you have two options
    -spend another $1000+on bypass shock
-give me $100 and I will valve you shock:D

Dont forget when you add another set of off the shelf shocks your chances of having correct valving is pretty much zero. The slow stuff is going to be overvalved. So they will still have to send shocks to you, but now pay $200 to valve 2 sets of shocks :D

So why are you running a bypass? lol I agree with you if you have the correct valving in your coilover you shouldent need a bypass but thats if you wheel your truck for 30 mins your not gonna really use your coilover and never heat up the oil..Ive ran both the barstow race loops and lucerne race loops with running just a coilover and then ran it with having a bypass made a world of diffrence, there is a reason race trucks run bypasses not only for shock fade but cause of the mass of the truck

    Key word there-RACE trucks
Not saying that bypasses aren't nice to have, just saying that with a PROPERLY valved truck alot of people on here don't need them
I ran my truck with LT for 4 years before I got bypasses up front
It just seems to be a common misconception on here the you HAVE to spend the extra $1000 on front bypasses to go to the desert. Spent the couple hundred to get you c/os tuned right, I'm sure most peoples trucks would be just fine like that

people here think adding a bypass is the end all be all for the front of these trucks... sure its a cool upgrade but it isnt the only solution, but something other than a bypass or anything else that isnt a buzz word in the ind. isnt cool.

    ...too much shit to list.
My truck is a fucking pavement (or jackstand) queen 350 days a year.
But the other 15 days a year...I don't stop till i break something.

Do I NEED bypasses...hello no. Do I want them...of course. My original plan was to just run hydro bumps up front, but the TC kit's don't have a convenient place to bump off of like the burg kit does. My solution was to crank up the second compression tube on the bypasses.

The other thing you're forgetting...is the whole reason I actually have front long travel. I would have never done it if it wasn't for the Pismo incident which left me with a huge wad of cash to blow on the truck.

My point still stands....had you increased the compression valving in your truck, you would have noticed a world of difference. RACE trucks run bypasses...cause they RACE. Not some 30 minute lap around a track. They run secondaries for MORE oil. The problem with just adding valving to that scenario is the more work the valves do, the hotter the oil gets. They would boil the shock fluid in prolonged races.
