What can be causing this problem I think it's the 2nd relay I go through in 3 years

Seeing how big that wire is i'm guessing its pulling too much power and that little pin terminal is too weak for that much.

Too much power drawn and a weak ( loose ) connection on that pin.

That connector is just waiting to burst into fire. A loose connector is a heater. You really need to dump those shitty HID Lights. Replace that connector, it is a fire in the making.

    Serious!

How did you get it fix Romeo? The retrofit source sells a pretty heavy duty one I might get that, everything else on ebay looks cheap .

Glad you got it figured out. If both headlights go out at the same time it is very rare that the culprit is two bad ballasts or bad bulbs. 99.9% it is the power source to the ballasts.

The Retrofit Source's relays are legit. I have it on my retrofitted taco. It's MUCH better than the relay I got from DDM tuning for my bike (looks like the one in your pictures).

Theretrofitsource's relay doesn't seem to be an higher in quality tbh...I've had 3 sets of them and the relay connector always ends up coming loose. It looks pretty though :)

Looking at the picture you posted that wire is awful large for that tiny pin. Very poor design IMO ( Electronics Tech for 35 Years ). You probably need a beefier connector pin for the amount of current you are drawing.
