Yeah its all there. And i was going to swap the elocker into my axle housing, but blackdog said it would be easier to modify the 4runner axle housing to fit my truvk

Yep. TRD lockers are the 8'' diffs. You have the "8.4". Even though technically they are still both 8'' diffs..our housings are bigger and the gears are a bit bigger.

This is why an ARB locked 8.4'' diff is also stronger then a TRD or generally regaurded as such.

Yea its been done. Like i said there is a thread or two on TTORA..but its not easy.

I would just swap on leaf perches. Granted your going to have to do a long of grinding and welding either way..

Yea both are do able. I'd just look into both before you start cutting shit :p

And I also am not sure about the diff being 4.30...but I'm no 4runner expert. Check it. If you still have the body available to check the diff code

    Does your truck have ABS?

There really are a few options here as to what you want to modify. One more benefit of getting the Tacoma E-Locker axle would be no welding, grinding, measuring etc. and all of the brake line tabs and emergency brake tabs are already there which would end up being a cleaner install IMO.

BUT if you do decide to modify the 4Runner axle housing it might be a good time to weld the leaf pack pads on at a bit of an angle so the driveshaft axis is more concentric with the pinion axis if you are lifted at all. Hopefully someone else might chime in on their opinion of this...

Well... I am powder coating the rear bumper plate, and measuring how much stainless I am going to need to make the radiator hardlines, tranny cooler lines and oil cooler lines..

On top of coating a 4 point cage in a color I came up with to match this dudes MR2.
