    So it's been a number of years since I've driven up the backside of Mt. Lemmon and have been wanting to do it again here lately. A buddy of mine bought a Rubicon and wanted to make the trip so naturally I was happy to tag along. Another friend in a basically stock Rocky came along as well.

    It's a pretty scenic drive and there are some good places to stop and enjoy the peace and quiet. It's not something I would do on a regular basis, but it's an easy trip and a good way to kill a morning.

    Cool photos. Have you ever gone up Rice peak? There's a pretty good view up there too.

    Nope, I've never been to Rice Peak. I'll look it up and head out there one day. How is the trail?

    The trail is nice. I haven't been up there for about a year now though. The climb to the top is easy in a 4x4. It's probably do-able in a 2x4. There is just a lot of shale on the hills.
