Enlighten me on something..

if the military knocked out the drug trade to america their would be far less jobs and a lot more people out of work the dea would be heavily reduced same with all the police narcotics departments and would actually hurt our economy more. and thats why the drug trade is kind of regulated in a way. like if to many harm full drugs start getting in the high schools and to kids they are busted quickly. than people older people who use and have nothing to loose anyway.

 

The DEA busting people and putting them in jail, according the what was stated earlier that costs 17 million per person. You could open a factory and have people work with all the money you would be saving from getting rid of drugs and drug related crimes/criminals.

Of course this will never happen so this whole conversation is dumb

 

If you want a serious answer it's racism and money that keep the drug war going. Plain and simple. It's not even political because both parties are at fault.

Yes. If you knew anything about the topic or have ever done any research on it you would not be asking me what I have already typed once. I myself wrote my thesis on this exact topic and went to college majoring in criminal justice. The college I attended was in fact the police academy.

True but I don't believe that amount is equal to 17 million x amount of people in American prisons. But not needing jails is something that will never happen.

 

The sentencing guidelines for possession of crack are 100 times more stringent then the same exact drug in powder form. Up until about 5 years ago it was 1,000 times more stringent.

You tell me why these differing guidelines for the same exact drug exist?

+1 if you can also tell me when and why they were decreased from 1,000% to 100%.

I attended the # 2 ranked police academy in the country. BTW, you do not earn degrees from academies, you earn them from Universities and Colleges.
