Leave the box in place and build some shock hoops/bedsaver cage, vs what Cole has which has no box left, just tube and bedside mounts

So I had a oh shit moment the other day. I have all of my stuff to do the rear of my truck,Defined sua kit, King triples, jounce stops, Built right shock towers. I was going to have all of this installed this month but will my stock tires still fit? I dont have the money to buy all new tires and wheels and get everything installed.

They should fit fine. You might have to run spacers though to get them away from the shocks.

Cool thats wat I was hoping for. What about clearing in the wheel well? Will I need to do some trimming?

I have bought front fenders before I knew that I should really do the rear first. So I have no glass bed sides.

With the defined kit and stock wheel setup you should be alright. Might have to trim a little bit of the fender flares other then that you'll be fine

You should get bedsides as well before you start.

Edit: that's what I would do at least. Take off the bed once and call it done

You don't have to take the bed off though to install the stuff he's got

Doesn't the pinion rotate up when you accelerate making it better to mount the shocks on the front of the axle?

In any event the best way to combat axle wrap is to link the rear :D

When the tires bit, the excess torque wants to rotate the tire forward. When it cant, the axle itself wants to rotate backwards, pivoting the front of the axle up (at least that's how I see it). Thus, shocks on the front combat that.

I bet a bunch of people have their hands in the air twisting them around and scratching their heads right now. I know I did that for a while before I convinced myself how it works

Yeah I figured it out when I had to shim my axle to compensate for wrap :D

    Damn Deavers were clapped out
