    clueless

They can cut through nails without flinching because they have "idiot proof" chains on them. We talked about this many times. Try that with a real chain and you'll cut off an arm or leg.

I have a sawzall for small branches in tree's with a laser cut Skill blade. Much safer for small stuff.

    IDK...these guys is clueless.

Carpenter from Canistukia is using an electric chainsaw saw
Guy from NJ has a dull loose blade ready to chop off a arm

We talked about this more then once already if you wasn't a rookie you would know :D Carbide has nothing to do with it at all.

You prob have 3 guards to each cutting tooth so 3/1. I have 1/1 ratio. Saw cuts 66% faster.

Real chains need to be bought from a real chainsaw store. Not POS Home Depot or Lowes. Those blades are for the weekend warriors that don't know how to use a saw so they make them idiot proof. You get a Oregon chain at HD or Lowes and it sucks. I'm not telling you where I get mine cause they are dangerous in the wrong hands.

When you hit a nail or knot with a fully guarded chain it does not kick back bad. You hit it with a 1/1 chain and you could loose an arm if your holding the saw wrong.

That's why I cringe when I see you guys cut. Loose chains, face or arm over the chain, and horrible wood placement on the ground. Seen you guys dip your chains into the dirt more then not which is a huge mistake for many reasons.

Not trying to bash, but you two should take some classes before a major injury occurs. I'm not the only one worried about you two and your chainsaw use. I have heard some stories about times when I'm not even there where people had close calls.

It only takes one mistake to become a one armed man.

X2. Be careful with saws and know what's going on with them. Skill and knowledge when running a saw takes a while. And do get a good chain from an actual saw shop. And learn how to properly sharpen it. I've been tryin for years and can't come close to what my uncles can do. Pin oaks are hard as a rock, but chains they sharpen cut like they're goin through pine

    Don't buy retail...

Craigslist has them F/S for very cheap right now. I just checked and there are a couple pages worth.

I just talked to a super on a job and he bought one brand new and is returning it tonight. Plenty of people returning them or selling them used.

No power from Mon night til today. Got the power back on today at 12:30. One tree landed on the house. Tree guy was here at 8AM. Trees gone by 2PM. Contractor will be here Fri AM 2 fix the roof, rafters, soffits, fascia, gutters, sheet rock etc. etc. Tree branches landed all around the Chimney it is OK but cap is smashed. Second tree missed the oil tank by inches. All windows are OK. Stuff hit them all Mon night but non broke. One tree 116 years old. 3 trees fell - all toward the road - 2 in our yard and 1 in neighbors yard. All parallel to each other. I think there was a wind tunnel between the two houses. It could have been a lot worse - a few inches here or there. It got down to 50F in the house. We went over to the other Sandy's, one of our neighbors, a few times to get warmed up and to get hot H2o for tea and coffee. They have a wood burning stove and a gas stove. We didn't loose much food - the house was colder then the fridge and we put some things on the porch. We spent the last 2.5 days automatically turning on light switches as we went into a room. We were in bed between 8-9. Not much 2 do. Read a little. We made toast by putting bread on a fork over a flame. You don't realize how much you depend on electricity til you don't have it. The Hess station was the only station opened - I guess they had their own generators - line was backed up down 23 past Max's is Back. Wil, a neighbor, went to Tractor Supply in Sussex in the middle of the night and waited for hours for a number and then hours more for a truck to come in. 150 generators gone in minutes. This is the 3rd 100 year storm we have had in 3 years. Sounds like a oxymoron - jumbo shrimp or military intelligence or something.
