The published stories on the body discovery mention he'd apparently dug the grave himself. Looks like suicide ...

I really don't think he killed himself using two guns and then buried himself, lol. No, you're right tigerfan, that's a fishy story there.

I didn't know his wife was a prof at Clemson, though.
I generally agree with that but her family would at least have the satisfaction of knowing that he would be someone's bitch in prison and suffer for a long long time.

one of his victims was a prof at clemson...the suspect was a prof at UGA

and i prefer someone who commits crimes like this being punished by the state rather than taking their own life...its an easy way out...

I'd rather know the SOB was dead instead of living after he/she had killed my loved one.

It looks like the story is saying his wife is. Well, whatever, he won't be murdering anyone else.

I agree. Like I always say about these situations: kill yourself first and then the others.

Oh I understand. I watch Lockup all the time and I still can't get over how they have TV's in their cells. WTF kind of punishment is that? Being the father of a 7 month old, I ENJOY locking myself in my room and watching TV.

“A person not accustomed to the woods would not have found it,” Athens-Clarke County Police Chief Jack Lumpkin said. “The body was beneath the earth… . The body was purposely concealed in a manner not to be discovered.”

dont think he could have done this and killed himself. sounds like his wifes family had some ties that he didnt know about. looks profesional to me.

^Yeah, "correctional". Prisons are nothing more than crime schools. That's why I like Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Make those fools live in tents in the desert wearing pink underwear. Screw 'em, THAT is punishment.

i agree...and should i ever move to AZ...i'll work for Sheriff Joe in a heartbeat...

the correctional systems is supposed to "rehab" the offender...but instead we have an INSANE amount of repeat visitors...

incarcerated criminals should only be allowed basic human rights - food, shelter, personal health and safety

    nothing else

make those sumbitches WORK while theyre incarcerated...think of how much money states could save if they used inmate labor instead of hiring people...then maybe we wouldnt be discussing cutting education and law enforcement funding

Well he killed her, no doubt. But 2 options about him: either he staged a disappearance (to NL) and killed himself, or someone else did it. Option 2 doesn't make much sense to me.

I'm thinking he didn't want his body to be found, embarrassed by what he'd done. He dropped the kids off. Then he drove to the woods and went way back where nobody would think to look. Then he got rid if his clothes and buried his body so after decomposing he'd never be found. Then killed himself.
