Depends on the height of the box, I'd say it shoudl work with most boxes low profile boxes. I ahev sen it mounted to the rear of a standard height box as well. Here is a pic so you can derermine if it will work with your toolbox.

Bump for Tyler. Went in to order some sliders a couple weeks ago and saw these in his shop, top notch quality and nice design, plus he was running them on a really nice setup in his truck so I just had to buy them (before the sale:facepalm:)... Great deal, currently working on mounting my hi-lift and setting up some bike mounts on it.

Very interested in this. Can you tell me if it has enough clearance for fork mounted bike mounts?

Also do most of you guys just paint it flat black or get it powder coated?

Okay. I am local so can I come buy possibly week after thanksgiving and check? They are just the rocky mount fork mounts they just attach to the bed rail. From your first pic it looks like it would fit. Similar to this but it sits horizontal and not vertical.

I know the bars would be plenty strong but you are asking a lof of the factory rails. I would suggest getting the weight on top of the bed cap. Static load is no biggie but a good pounding with a couple hundred pounds might be too much for the factory mounts. The ones below are pretty simple and require no bending and not tabs so you could get a set for a few bucks cheaper than a couple light bars. I made these for Albert (W8N4MUD) so he could mount his basket as well. They are made from 2" square bar, capped and atached to 2.5" X .188 Eq Angle
