    I'm joking about that.

Came out on the news that registered sex offenders had to do that...

I'm not even home this week.

Adrenaline is a hell of a drug. I do miss getting regular doses of it.

speaking of jobs, I was informed today that the project I have been working on is coming to an end. Unfortunately for me, that means the end of my contract. Anyone know of any companies hiring IT support in the DFW (preferably FW) area?

    What is your specialty? certs?

Also- stuck at work waiting on a contracted Dell repair guy to show up and replace a laptop screen. He was supposed to be here at 3p; now 5 hours later he still isn't here. Fucking asshole.

mainly windows based desktop end user support. i don't have any certs, but i have the experience. if y'all know of anything,i can always email a resume. I've done everything from hardware repair to application support, with a little server admin and network support, but i wouldn't say I'm proficient enough with those to apply for a job with those specialties. also,i don't do any programming, so anything along those lines is automatically out.

I would be pissed. I can't stand people that are late, especially if it is their job.

I'll ask around; can't promise much though. The IT field in DFW is pretty flooded; lots of places paying moderate pay for traveling consultants though. Check with Texas Health Resource though; they tend to have a pretty good place to work and a lot of upward promotions.

Yeah, I'm pissed but it is hard to blame a guy for shit that isn't inside of his control. He was stuck in traffic in Waco; I just wished he would have called so I knew a legit time for him to get to me. I would have went and got dinner instead of waiting on him. It all comes down to he is just another guy trying to earn a buck; I can't hate on him too much for that. I wish more people were working.

You do realize all of Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple, and the rest of them all contract out the field support work. The same guy that replaced the Dell screen will also replace an HP or Mac screen. How is that Dell's fault again?

Never heard of that. They usually take it for what it says. You must look like a shady character. Oh wait, you do.
