How Much For Oil Filter At Dealership?

How much do they go for? Also, how much is the bolt gasket too?

Trying to see if I should buy online or make a trip to the dealership.

Best price I can find so far is $7.16 per filter/gasket and I have to buy it in a set of 3 for online.

 

I get mine at the stealership for $7.00 and thats with the bolt gasket, but the parts mgr is a friend of mine so he gives me all my parts at cost

 

Wait a sec. My double checked the online filter. I think it's for the 4 cylinder and not the V6 models.

What's the model number for the V6 filter?

 

My friend owns a body shop and i use his account number at the dealership get them for under 5 bucks including plug gasket...

 

I get mine for like $4-5 something with the bold gasket...

 

Yeah, 2 for 8.95 seems to be a common thing. About the only reasonably priced thing the dealership sells.

local dealer here has buy 3 and get one free. it comes to about 16bux for the 4. the washers are included.

I just bought 5 online. Comes with gasket and it was $25 shipped. Best I could find without ordering 10. 10 is way too many for me. 5 is a lot too, but saves me the hassle of driving to the dealership. The difference would have been made up with gas and tax... I'm sure.

 

Friend, huh? Most everyone else is paying less. Maybe your friend is paying too much.

 

I pay $5 per filter (includes the washer) at my dealer. Seems reasonable since these filters are so highly rated.

There's an eBay vendor selling 10 with gasket for $40.
Titus-Will Toyota sells them for just under $4, no gasket. Shipped, 20 filters came out to about $88.

 

I just went to my dealership and asked if they could get anywhere near $40.00 a case. Got case of filters and new washers for $42.00 +tax. Sometimes they deal I guess.

 

Paid almost 7 bucks for one a couple weeks ago. I swear they go up a little every time I'm due for an oil change. Paid around 5 bucks in the summer last time I did an oil change.

 

Just bought 10 for $39.95 on fleabay shipped for free. Just type in the part # from above on ebay.com and boom, savings!

 

Tell the parts dept either come down on the prices or you'll buy online. Buying by the case i got them down to $45 (10 filters/gaskets.)
