did you get the rest of the day off after they sprayed you?
my uncle (police officer in Miss.) said that before he went to the academy he talked to a experienced officer and he told him when they offer water to not take it, he said that the water makes the pepper work better.

 

dang thats a lot to do in that condition, my uncle said they got sprayed and one of the trainers would pin them then they were offered water.

 

Meh, it helps wash it off. But its pretty much just time and cool air. And yes, both times I got the rest of the day off lol

 

Its to help us know how to react and fight if we are down wind and someone sprays or the bad guy gets our spray, if a bad guy gets my spray, its deadly force, because he has now incapacitated me.

a friend of mine didnt completely bend over when he used water on his face and it ran down his face onto his legs......

so if its a pair of officers that respond and the suspect has or gets a officers pepper spray and sprays one of the officers, the other officer has the right to use deadly force?

that's interesting about the mayo, and i feel sorry for your friend.

 

If I respond alone and get sprayed, I would consider myself in a deadly force situation. Just like if I was alone and the guy got my tazer. If there's two of us, I would hope the other officer lays a good beat down on that bad guy, but he doesn't have the right to use deadly force because he is not sprayed.

point here: don't get pepper sprayed, and dont pepper spray LEOs

ive never been tazed but it has to be better than getting pepper sprayed...

 

Damn I would much rather be sprayed than tazed....I am not a fan of involuntary bodily movements, or involuntary bowel movements either!!

For me it would depend on the spray. If it was wet, then I would take that over before the tazer. If it was powder, I would take the tazer. I would make sure to hit the bathroom before hand though

 

But getting sprayed hurts for an hour, tazing hurts for bursts of 5 seconds

 

different kind of pain

 

I'd rather get tased, no doubt about that.
