Yeah there are wayyyy too many happy go lucky smilebags here. His head would essplode. T-town's a much better match. Plus, if he wants to feel extra grouchy or reset his depression level, all he has to do is take a short drive to demopolis or pretty much anywhere else that isn't on the coast.

Immediately following that quote were the words, "I"m only kidding."

No CFB team could hang w/ any NFL team. Ever.

My money's on spurrier just trolling coach Saban. He knows how much CNS has been trying to keep the media at bay and this is the perfect way into his head and, even worse, into the heads of his players. The rest of my money is on Saban going into full rage-beast mode because of it and pulling anuses out of ears for the rest of the season, starting with an appetizer of corndog tears.

Guys graduate and start the next year in the NFL all the time man. Oh it could happen. Trent is running on them all day. Luck is scoring every weekend. They didnt go through any magic transformation when they signed. Same guys just a year older.

The only thing that would make me think they can't is the fact that some of those kids might be 18 or 19 years old. Now, some of those kids might be cocky enough to not worry about it, but you tell a 18 yo WR to go across the middle with an NFL linebacker ready to knock him out, and he might get bunny ears.

However, I think they could hang with the Jaguars, and the Defense could hold the jets to 200 yards and maybe 14 points.

Yes... Luck is doing well, and so is Trent. How many players like that do we have on our team? We had, what... 8 guys go in the draft last year, from one of the most talented classes we've ever had?

Let's say we have 8 draftees in each of three classes currently on the team... That gives us 24 NFL-worthy athletes spread out across the field. (And not all of those 24 are good enough to start today, or maybe even after a few years.)

An NFL team has 53, on every team. The cream of the crop can do well immediately in the NFL, but that's the cream from the entirety of CFB. No single CFB team could possibly have the talent to compete in the NFL. It's dumb to think otherwise.

Spurrier was trolling Saban, and I hope it just pissed Nick off for tomorrow night.

Between 1934 and 1976, there was a pre-season game between the prior year's Super Bowl champ and a group of college football all-stars.

The college kids (who were graduates by the time they played - and rookies in the NFL) actually won 9 of the 42 games!

    So you're saying there's a chance...........

Again, though, these were the best of the best college football players, who themselves were about to be rookies in the NFL.

I'd put everything I own on any NFL team against any college team.

 Like y'all have played consistanly all season, I think we could beat y'all without too much trouble.
But as much as I hate the BCS, I loathe the LSU even more. Alabama has to win.
