hmmm... could be that the newfie accent really comes out when they're drunk, making them appear drunker than they are.

given the newfie population in Alberta, Drew may feel right at home. :D

Hey Susan, may I ask what the road to no debt was? I don't have much, but have a few things to catch back up on...

Make a budget, put $$ in savings before you see it and if you have any $$ left over from last payday, put the extra toward a bill. Pay off the highest interest debts first. As soon as one bill is paid off, that payment goes toward another bill. When I got divorced "I" ended up with $13,000 in credit card debt - interest was KILLING me.

He got me to set up an allotment/automatic payment into savings each payday. Before you buy ANYTHING - is it a NEED or a WANT.

I have added $ on a credit card once or twice since then - needed glasses and a new computer (this was several years ago) Interest rate was super low, so didn't think about it. Once they raised the rate, bam, gone!!! paid it off.

With a baby on the way, it'll be tougher, but if you both make good decisions, you can still pay bills off and safe for your retirement and the baby's college.

We both only have one credit card... So that isn't too bad for us right now. Max on both is 1500. I'm tempted to get a second one or raise the allowed on mine since the interest is so low. Also, just refinanced (started the process anyway) down to 3.5% bringing my monthly down 130 a month. I'm trying to help Erica start saving better. Hawaii crushed my extra cash and we need to start eating at home more... Not her thing since she doesn't cook or eat leftovers. Oh well. She will understand soon... Lol.

Eh not really. The class I was in was about wine. Like, every single region in every country, the grapes that are grown, the classes of each wine.... basically like 200 facts about each country. On one test that's a lot of crap to remember for something that I really couldn't care less about.

So I'm going to take a computer science class in its place since it will also fill that requirement.
