yeah its definitely a datsun f10 hatch at first i though it was at late 1960s toyota corolla because of the s emblem on the side of the car but the front turn signals gave it away

Nope. Sold in Canada, and most of the world, except US. Another hint: It has an air-cooled, twin cylinder 2 stroke engine.

allright - I don't *think* there are any unanswered ones from the last five pages of the thread. So I'm putting up a new one. Dad had one of these when I was growing up. Sold it for I think it was $50 - that turned out to be a bad check. He eventually found the guy by pure chance (he drove a long rural newspaper delivery route as a second job) and the guy gave him *another* check drawn on *the same* closed bank account, before disappearing again - this time for good. Dad was never much good with money.

It may actually not have been in as good a condition as this one, but it ran, and we could drive it around town.

98% sure I know what that is but I will give someone else a chance before I say it and share my similar story

Split rear window, and a big ass hood ornament. Without seeing the car from the front, I'm not completely sure, but I think it's a 38 Plymouth DeLuxe.

Since we're doing story time, I'll share one from my dad. My dad was actually on a first name basis with James Dean. He used to come into the service station my dad worked at. Well before my time, but if anyone has ever seen the movie Rebel Without a Cause, my dad's car is actually in the movie and pops was an extra in the movie. I don't have any original pictures of his car, but this is as close as I could find. See if you can guess the car:

I was going to guess '37.

    but anyway, the story.
(the short, less 'cool story bro' version)
my dad had a '37 that was stolen. 10-15 years later he gets an anonymous phone call telling him were it's at. We go check it out and sure enough it's his. He worked out a deal with some guy he knew to trade it for a 56 F100 that would be my first truck. Never hear back from that guy so nothing ever came of it and dad wasn't real interested in dragging the '37 back home (it hadn't run since my dad was in high school) so it probably got crushed or has rusted away into the earth by now.

Just thought it was interesting that both out dad's got old Plymouths stolen from them and then came across them again.
