Hi guys. Been reading a lot and I am led to believe that my 09 TRD Off Road has a transmission cooler. Can any of you experts tell me for sure.

    Thank you.

Factory hitch, 7-pin connector, trailer braking wiring, and oil cooler under the filter?

If so, you have the towing package and a trans cooler.

It has the 7 pin connector. The hitch is factory. It is installed under the bumper. Not on top of the bumper. As for the oil cooler under the filter. I have no idea. Again sounds like I must have one. The reason I ask is I am towing a 3000pd travel trailer and just worry that it will not kill my tranny. I tow it probably 10 times a season. I think I should be okay but like to get TW members to give me a piece of mind.

    Thanks Rich. Really appreciated.

Factory hitch is going to have the trans cooler (if you have an auto trans).

The oil cooler (assuming you have a V6) is that "donut" like thing under the oil filter with two hoses coming from it.
It simply circulates coolant through the oil filter mounting base.

Sweet. Just went and checked it out. I see the donut shaped thing under the oil filter. I am happy you have confirmed with me that my Tacoma is equipped with a trans cooler.

    Thanks for your time Rich.
