I need to diagnose what is going on with my truck.

I had my tires rotated this week, and noticed a noise that sounded somewhere between scraping/grinding in the front right area of the truck. It was only when I began to accelerate and then it would stop after around 5 mph. I thought it was probably just the wheel touching the brake caliper a little bit. That was Tuesday I think(also changed my oil that day)

The sound went away. But now I have a different problem.

Yesterday I drove my truck, and when I began to accelerate above 1500, the whole truck began to shake. Not like tires out of balance shake. But a horrid shaking. I can't pinpoint where the vibration could be coming from.

It seems to get worse with higher speed, and only occurs when I throttle it. It doesn't happen in neutral, and doesn't happen when I let off the gas.

Could it be transmission, or the driveshaft?

check the tires to make sure you put the lug nuts on correct because it sounds like the front rim did not get put on correct

My first action is to take it back in to the shop, and get them to remove and balance the tires. I'm gonna do that tomorrow morning.

I re-tightened all of the lug nuts last night, and all of them were fine.

I saw in another post that the dealership loosened the u-joint, shook it around, tightened it down, and it helped with some vibration. The carrier bearing is inside the u-joint right?

no it is the section where the 2 shafts meet.it has a "U" SHAPED bracket that holds it up with a rubber bushing around it.

its easy to check, just grab the shaft right by the cb and try to move it.if the rubber is bad it will move a good bit.sometimes the rubber is not there or sticking out somewhere around the bracket.good luck to ya though

If your truck is a 4x4, Grab the front drive shaft, and pull on it....check to see if it moves around..

No, no. The scraping noise was from the front. I'm not sure where the vibration is coming from. It's vibrating the whole truck.
