I think it's fugly, but if it was strong enough and had a solid basket on too, it would be pretty useful.

The thing about this rack is that it is held in by the rails in the bed. It won't support much...and it's fugly.

yea i know about the racks but honestly its not that hard to cut off that little tab weld on a bar and go to the rear bed mount

thats what i thought, and its a lot cheaper then getting one custom 630 shipped to my door which is why i was interested

i think it looks good. but i also think it could be a lot stronger and hold more if he mounted a different way.

looks kinda like the one B.AM.F has made. and shipping cast almost as much as the rack. a member thats about 1.5h east of me asked what shipping would be and it was going to coast like $400+ just for shipping. that one does not look like it can be broke down into pieces to make it smaller.

yeah. i know the all pro rack can be broke down for shipping and would be cheaper. shipping is sooo much because of the size. maybe try and find a local fab/welding shop and see what they can make you. that way you don’t have to worry about paying shipping.

Yeah, breaking it down into pieces wouldn't make it as strong. I'm going to have Billy make me one like this but a touch taller, and have a secondary rack made to attach at the same height over the cab where I'll mount the lights and goodies. Sort of a hybrid of both ideas. Might be able to put two RTT's up there

Same fabricator as the one benbacher posted. This one ties into the bed making it pretty sturdy.

Ahhhh I haven't seen that one yet. I like.

Although I think both racks tie into the bed, if you look on the four corners of the one I posted you can see theres an added support that goes down to what I beilieve is probably the bed bolts, or D-ring mounts.
