here, the police are instructed to not ticket cyclists in order to promote this town as a "cyclist-friendly city", but they blow through stops signs, red lights, hop from street to sidewalk and back whenever convenient for them, etc. its fucking ridiculous

Okay for real now. How dahell does one go to sleep, take a shower or sit in a recliner with all that crap all up in there??

 

Wrong is wrong and if it's in your law (it is HERE) that a bicycle is a vehicle then the police are not abiding by the law. Might want to check it though. Might be different where you are.

Here, other cyclist get mad at those who blast through and tear around slow moving cars because all that does is cause drivers to hate us. And for them to hate us is VERY dangerous. VERY VERY dangerous. I've been through bad situations before and it's not funny. I was literally scared for my life.

Since I am not allowed on the sidewalk because I am considered riding a vehicle, I have been tailgated by cars who honk like crazy because I cannot go 45 mph up a slight incline. I clocked myself on my computer as going 41 but that was not good enough. For that I deserved to be fearing for my life, and risking being thrown should I hit something in the road going that fast.

 

That fucking sucks. I couldnt imagine doing having that happen to me while I got my workout on.

It's a pretty pattern....but to endure the poking and the pinchies I just can't imagine going through that for something like a photoshoot and then taking it all out again.
