Hey Max, how are your flares holding up? I'm thinking of going that route with the glue and then spraying them with Raptor.

Mine are holding up awesome. I cut the pieces off for the high clearance a long time ago and thought I'd tear em apart recently. They're damn tough.

I'm working on a set currently and let me tell you they're a PITA to build.

Yeah, I'm still not entirely sure I wanna do this lol. The only thing I'm a little worried about is making the two pieces line up straight. I'm sure I'll figure it out as I go, though. I have some pieces from the high clearance rear and the front bumper to play with before I do the real thing..

Is this the glue? And the gun?

That's correct! It sets up QUICK though so be fast with that manual applicator.

So I got to drive my dad's 04 GMC Sierra 1500 for a couple days while dealing with my rear axle shaft.

He's got a Volant CAI which definitely makes it louder and a stock exhaust but I love the sound it makes when you start it up. I know it's a V8 though.

Anyway so I'd always figured eventually I'd get a 70 series flowmaster. I'm kinda looking at that again but a few people say 50 series as well. I don't want loud but I want a little more rumble and more noise than the stock exhaust. When I get into it I want some noise but nothing while cruising or just gently accelerating.

Do I have to weld it on? I just want to cut it out and put in the new one, no piping and shit. I can weld it on but I'd rather use those nifty exhaust clamps.

    http://www.amazon.com/SmartParts-120250-Joint-Aluminized-Exhaust/dp/B0043DSGX8

So what do I do and what muffler do I get? If I get one. I'm hoping for under 100

Sounds good. I think my truck would look a lot more aggressive with smaller flares. You had to cut your metal fender right?
