I did. It was just an unfortunate timing coincidence. Some other wiring that I installed several years ago (that used the high beam wire to trigger a relay) decided to fail the same week that I installed my projectors. The timing of the failure was just very coincidental.

Always happens that way. Glad you got it figured out!

Quick question, are you happy with the H1's?

They're freakin awesome! I got the upgraded XB35 bulbs, I'm not sure how much of a difference they made but they are by far the best lights I've ever had. The cutoff looks awesome. I get a nice, thick color band at the cutoff, a nice, wide light pattern and the high beams are like driving with the sun at your back.

The only 'issue' I have with the H1's (and I use the word issue hesitantly) is the sealing that you have to do around the rubber boot. I just used some RTV silicone to seal up around the wires where they go through the OEM rubber boot. No issues so far with water and I drove through a LOT of it when Sandy came to town. Like I said though, I use the word 'issue' hesitantly because they are a great setup with an easy installation.

Yeah, and also keep in mind, I was running PIAA X-treme White bulbs which were, in my opinion, much brighter than stock already. Once you go with projectors, there's no going back. Follow a Nissan Murano, Acura TL, TSX or Honda S2000 and have a good look at their lighting. Notice that they light up about 5 or 6 lanes wide. The TRS kits will be about the same if you aim them correctly.

Personal preference. If you're going with the H1 kit, the mini gattling shrouds mount very securely and easily to the projectors.

My retrofit on the previous page is the H1 kit with the mini gattling shroud if you want a visual.

Saw it, thank you! Hope this gets done before Thanksgiving weekend, that is when I would have time to do it. I may need to buy a set of Depo replacement housings to do the conversion on. My stock lights are melting on the turn signal lenses from the daytime running lights.

Andrew, what is the biggest difference between the XB35 bulb and the one that is standard in the mini h1 kit? Just brighter?

Brighter and runs cooler. Just an upgraded H1 bulb is all. It's worth it especially in the GB.

Thanks! I think I'd go with that bulb if I do get in on this group buy. I just don't know if I can afford it right now. You'll get my money eventually though, so don't worry lol.

I'm on commission but unfortunately it doesn't apply to wholesalers/group buys.

Fortunately, I do get in the good graces of the company with these group buys though!

If you go with the XB35 bulbs, they look phenominal! They have a nice, thick color band at the cutoff and put out awesome light. I can't compare them to a standard H1 bulb but they are a LOT brighter than my projector fogs that I bought from TRS last year. When you do get around to doing this mod, you won't be disappointed.
