Might want to get the wife to do the same before the meet... sure would be nice to know if she will be good to go before youre 4 hours away from home

 

We're not sleeping in bed...got regular tent...she's good with that! She also just gave me permission to buy front bumper

Went and priced some camping gear at Bass Pro today, as well as pick up some cold weather clothing for the trip. I just hope that I am able to get off early on that Friday, if not looks like I will be heading there after work.

 

I may not be leaving til later Friday either I u want to convoy with me

For those camping what's the food situation? I have a large propane burner and fuel I can bring.

 

hmmm well that i figured wed figure out once it got closer... but we can either be responsible for our own foods... or we can maybe assign responsibilities like every bring something... some can bring hot dogs... sodas... patties... plates/plasticwear... baked beans... usual camput food. S'MORES!!!!

 

That would be VERY awesome. I plan on having everyhting packed and ready to go the night before. I am usually off work no later than 3 anyways. I am going to make a push with the higher ups to see about getting out a little early, but can't make promises.

As for food, I plan on bringing some steaks, burgers, or some dog's to grill.

 

well like the front page says... the main firday convoy leaves at noon on friday. were no longer leaving at 6 since all we gotta do is set up camp and drink beer... but if you still gotta leave later, we can bay adjust to 1 or 2 unless you need to leave in the evening... id prefer to get camp set up while theres still daylight.

 

i'll more than likely do the steak thing on my grill as well....and i will know this week wether or not i can leave friday at noon or later....all depends on wife

How does the camping work, do you pay by the site or is it a lot you rent? If I am unable to leave Friday with the rest, just want to be sure there is somewhere to post up a tent.

Awesome, well next paycheck I am picking up my tent hopefully. Eyeballed a few at bass pro yesterday that would be nice.

 

I've got a new 4 man Eureka tent I can loan out. Bought it for Hatteras next summer, so it's just hanging till then.

 

Man, if nobody lays claim to using it, I would love the chance to. I have a tent back in Nebraska and would rather not have to spend $100+ on another one when I don't need to. Could use that towards recovery gear or food haha.

 

No problem. Benefit to being single is I can get hammered and climb in the bivy sack in the bed and pull the tonneau down over top of me. Lazy camping FTMFW!

If you want to pick it up and try it out let me know. I've never pulled it out of the bag so I won't be any help setting it up the day of the trip.

 

Prolly would want to take a look at it so I can size up an air mattress.
