Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hello as I just joined the land of Tacoma owners. I signed on a used 2005 Double cab today. Hopefuly picking it up tomorrow. Got a great deal. 62,000 miles for $18,200 with Sr5 and tow package.

I am not new to Toyota's though. My first car was an 81 Toyota truck with the 22r engine. Great truck!! I also had an 86 with the 22r engine from an 83 and a flat bed (wooden) in college. I know, redneck. Then my wife has driven a 97 Rav4 and now she drives an 02 4runner. Both great vehicles but I like the 4runner more.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. I can't wait to drive around in my Tacoma!! I have a few questions but I will post those in the correct groups.

Sweet! A flat bed Toyota. That would be so great. I know they do one for the Hilux (foreign version of the Tacoma.)

Welcome and try to dig up some pics of your old trucks.

I had some digital pics of the 86 Flatbed so I uploaded a couple of those into my account. I know I have a picture of the 81 somewhere. I will have to find it and scan it. It was two colors!

I will upload some of the new 2005 when I get it home. I cant wait!! I think this is the newest car I have owned and defenitly the nices truck! haha

I think he mentioned something about a flat bed conversion.
