I am sorry, I didn't save them, but I just went to youtube and typed in things like tacoma trd exhaust, tacoma borla exhaust etc. It took a little patience, but was not that big of a task.

If I have time later tonight I'll try to find some of them again and link them.

I currently am stock. I want a more aggressive sounding exhaust, but can't afford it right now. As far as which one I want, I am yet undecided.

I am thinking about a high flow exhaust on my truck. How does the flowmaster 40 sound on the 2.7L? Do you have a sound clip of it? I can't decide between the Flowmaster 40 and the MagnaFlow...

Thanks for the advice. That was a great post and covers some diff. types of exhausts which I wanted to find out. When you guys are talking about "going with an 18" " or a flowmaster 40, what are those numbers referring to? Yes, I am new. Thanks.

    getting there....
when someone says "go with 18""....they are talking about an 18 inch magnaflow muffler, and the flowmaster 40 is a deep, rumbly muffler from flowmaster, and what alot of people including myself and others on here run on our tacomas.

I got the best available. My 2008 is on order, will be here in Feb. It will be delivered with borla cat back exhaust. According to my research it was the best combination of sound, material quality, warranty, performance and cost.

I have a '07 DC with the 4.0. I went with the TRD exhaust and CAI. I love the sound.

I have the flowmaster 50 series with DT Headers and K&N intake.
The sound is perfect for me... Low rumble when accelerating and quiets downs nicely when cruising.

the leading minor of order 1 is not positive definite.
'07 v6 access cab automatic with magnaflow and no other mods.

i have the jbl evol cat-back which actually comes with a magnaflow muffer (i even called to make sure they sent the right one) and a big ugly chrome tip that looks like a chunk of my bumper broke off and got caught under the truck. ugly. sounds pretty nice though, not too loud until closer to 2000rpm then more noticeable. it passed the "wife test" for not-too-loudness. also the whole thing (sans the aforementioned tip) is showing quite a bit of surface corrosion for only 8 mos or so. disappointing for stainless steel ("stain-less" not "stain-free" eh?).

only other system i've heard in person is trd which personally sounds nicer (lower, more like a v8) and definitely looks nicer. i've never heard either on the 2.7L.

(also, an aside: i used to be t(ack)oma but i've been unable to log on for a while so i finally just changed my identity. this is my first post as "knickerbocker."

for now im stock. soon i hope to have a JBA cat back on my '07 4.0L. They sound awesome! My other choice would be a Banks, or an MBRP split dual, but they both cost more and i'm not made of money. college takes enough of it!
