Glad you are ok. As you said, trucks can be replaced, not people.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Pretty nasty roll, glad your okay and hope your back in another truck soon! Of all cars I've been in, I feel safest in my Tacoma.

That's good that you weren't hurt. Taco's can be replaced but people can't. Keep us informed on the situation.

@2011TacomaSR5: I totally agree with you. I've had some really small cars and I have never felt as safe as I do in my Tacoma.

I assume they will write off the truck.. If so strip everything of value (for resale) off before the insurance company gets to it. They don't pay for accessories. I learnt that the hard way one time.

You were past the Pouce Coupe hill I assume???

Out on the open stretch by Swan Lake is where I lost er. My job just got cancelled so back home I go. Maybe I'll get the chance to take my iron back before insurance gets horny.

Good luck with the insurance company.

Glad you're okay. Looks like a big zero on the fun scale. Now think right and move away from the ice! :))

Lol, yeah... I'll just start driving south and ask for antifreeze at each place I fuel up. When they ask "What the heck is antifreeze?" I'll know I've come far enough :D

How did your bumper fare? Particularly the hoops around the headlights. Looks pretty tough to have survived a roll.

Wow, sorry to hear about the truck, glad you are ok brother. You are very fortunate. I guess its a good thing your skids are still here, one less thing to strip off before the insurance company get ahold of it:D

That's a Shrockworks bumper with center hoop only. iPhone pics at night not the best, I still wanna see it for myself in the daylight. I'll post better pics when I get them. It's the sorta thing that must be shared, a celebration of a truck protecting me through the hard times.

You selling the bumper if its still salvagable? Or saving in case you buy a 2011 or earlier?

Looks like a pretty rough landing. I lost it on black ice last winter too, 180's @ 100kph aren't fun, and I was expecting to land on my lid down a 25' bank. Thankfully, I came to a stop in the median lane of the 4 lane hwy, within the two yellow lines, facing the direction I'd come from, and the other traffic went by on both sides. When things cleared, I restarted the truck, pulled a U-turn, and continued to work, no harm done. As you say, humbling. All due to me totally mistaking the road conditions.

You're good on any second gen 05-13. No hurry, they are ready to go when you are ready with another truck, doubt they'll fix yours. Get your "ducks" in a row and thy we'll get the shipping worked out. Main thing is that you are ok. Hope you don't start wakin up sore over the next few days, your line of work is hard enough without extra pains. Once again, sure glad you are ok

Did a little yoga to gauge stiffness. The ride was more exciting than a rollercoaster but no rougher. Gotta give credit to guardian angels for this one, no way I should be getting off this lucky but I'll take it :)

Do they have a lottery in Canada? Might be a good time to get a few tickets
