    Hi all,

This may not be the place for introductions, but I figured it's appropriate since it's the MD thread. Just picked up a DCSB 4x4 TRD OR is less than a week ago and I'm loving it so far.

I saw in the owners manual that you're supposed to drive it around in 4x4 at least once a month to keep everything lubricated...which means I "need" to go find a gravel/dirt road!

Can you guys recommend any public (read: legal) places to drive off the pavement nearby? I'm not ready to go fender-deep in mud...even a gravel road would be nice. I'm in Ellicott City, so I've been reading about some places near Frederick. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

You don't have to find dirt to do this just when it rains pop into 4H and run it like that, just don't make any hard corners. Oh and welcome to the show!

The wisp is like a half hour from my house I can be to seven springs in a hour an a half haven't been there since I was younger tho. Canan valley and timberline are a little over an hour away for me too they aren't bad places either there in wv.

I've heard great things about Wisp and Snowshoe. I thought about the season pass to Liberty, but it was just too expensive. Seven Springs seems a little too far from me.

I typically go to Big Boulder/Jack Frost in PA and Mt Snow in VT

I use to get the Liberty season pass every year but that was a long time ago.It was worth it because was only 45 minutes from me and we use to roll up after school every day. Mt Snow is good but I like Killington better.. The best is when I use to live right across the street from Heavenly Valley in Lake Tahoe.:D

    Lots.
Wisp and Snowshoe don't compare. Snowshoe is like the VT of the mid atlantic, but it takes 8 hours to get there (WV roads) from Annapolis so you might as well drive 9.5 hours to Stowe or Killington.

8 hours to Snowshoe... that is insane. I guess I may reconsider going there this winter, unless I sleep overnight in the truck

We won't be getting CCW, but that's not Obama's fault.
