Hahaha. I lived in Huntsville for about 3 years, and my wife is from the birmingham area... Her family converted me.

Edit: We got an exciting game against a ranked team. Could have been way worse, we could have almost lost to Troy or something. :D

Well you should be thanking her!!

Can you answer my question? Will a supercharged tacoma pass an emissions test?

You mean the official Toyota kit? That definitely will pass. The URD one should, as well, though... as long as you don't go cutting your cats off like my, umm, friend.

California's CAFE emissions standards are really high, I'm not surprised he had a problem there. I wouldn't worry about it in TN - they don't even do a sniffer anymore do they, I thought it was just plugging in OBD-II?

Haha, well this guy apparently already made a nice exhaust. I'm just wasting my time if I'm trying to buy a truck that won't pass emissions. Haha, but ya... He has the URD kit with DT headers and a magnaflow exhaust

Football aside, I actually really like Knoxville so far, we just moved.

As long as it still has cats on it, you should be good to go. And obviously it can't be throwing codes or anything either. But URD sells a sensor simulator to make the o2 sensor report OK even if it some how got messed up during the install of the aftermarket exhaust or something. I bet it's fine though, he's probably just having problems because CA is super anal.

where do i find the oem lift?
what are we looking for price?
so far what i have come up with is around 400s for front lift with springs in back and then 450ish for all pro. and nothing can ride as rough as my old 07 wrangler that was 4in lift and 35s.
Also i do go off road some but also a ton of on road driving when it comes to the tires.

Ooooo tag me in!!! I can help .... :D

Captain ..... Ur dumb! First off there aren't 2, 3" AP lifts. There is a 3" and a 4". Don't confuse him. OME does make a full 3" lift kit and yes it is a good kit especially for the cheaper price. Down sides are they tend to be stiff and they are not adjustable. Toytech coilovers are a good c/o also, its a Bilstein 5100 shock and an Eibach spring which is the same spring as what Fox uses. I don't know if u r trying to buy new or not but I would always suggest a good used set of Fox or King c/o over OME or Toytech any day and its not hard to find them in the marketplace and u will spend the same amount of money for much better coils. As for the back, a lot of people run the OME rear leafs, which seam to do well, deavers also seem to do well but only provide 1.5" of lift. The AP are the best soa, stock mounting leafs u can buy. They have the most flex, the best ride quality, and most important ... The least problems and best life span. For only $400 that's a no brainer to me. Rear shocks, OME are good shocks, so are 5100 but of coarse if u want the best go with Fox or King. And once again u can find a good used set of them for not much more then the less quality shocks.

The biggest question is how much do u wanna spend on ur setup and what do u plan on doing MORE often with it!?

Oh and Taylor ....... GO ELEPHANTS!!!!

wrong. the 4” is made for a 3” lift and to sit level with about 400# in the bed. with an empty bed it will give 4” of lift.

well im looking at a thousand would be what id like to spend or less obviously. i tend to do some off roading but prob not near as much as i did in my jk. also labor is not included in that price i can do that myself. my main thing is i see guys with 3in that to me do not seem that impressive or really look like it did much to the stock stance and since i am already running some 285s with a spacer ( just to prevent rub as much as i can) i want to see a big difference and be able to tell that there is a good lift on there

Zach listen to what ur sayin. Ur saying that the 4" spring are really 4" springs but give u 3" with weight in the bed, which still makes them 4" springs! That's like saying the 3" springs are really only 2" springs because they compress 1" with weight on them. They are still 3" springs though.

there is nothing on the back i believe though at some time there was something bc the springs seem to be out of aligned in my opinion which from everything i have looked at and done when it was on a rack is the problem with it squeeking. also the front spacer is id say about 1.5 i didnt relize till after i bought from the dealer it was even in the coil. but in my stuff with jeeps one spacer does nothing it takes you putting a few in to even give it an in on a buddys cherokee

Bama still sux, but for the love of God beat A&M so SEC retains the throne. For those interested, I will say that Allpro and OME leaf packs are good, but not as good as American steel. I've got a few leaves left from a good chevy pack that fit and will give you the lift you're after. Works like a AAL but will not sag over time. Let me know if any of you lift-on-budget but want it done right folks are interested. This is a proven method, gettin' ready to install mine.
