    Yes.. I know. Looks dumb and doesn't provide any more power than one mounted under the hood. Never quite understood what the fascination was with having a SC hanging outside of the vehicle

    Actually.. it's size gives it a lot higher volume, which you need for the larger displacement engine. Plus being outside the hood gives it straight ram air.
