x2. head lights with the retro fit are fin IMO. abut i FUING hate HID fogs. i find them to be worse than head lights just because the way they are made any ways.

 

HID everything! Not sure if the fogs were HID in this pic, but everything is HID on mine, except the 2 rigid LEDs in the lower part of the bumper.

 

I hope i never drive near anyone who hasn't retrofitted their headlights with HID's....

Putting projectors in your bowls. Putting hids in halogen housings causes the light to go everywhere and blind everyone else. Projector retrofits focus the beams where they are supposed to go.

35w 5000k fogs and 35w 3000k Hella 500FFs. No pics with them on, don't wanna blind anybody. Kept the headlights ss ultras to keep the ussypays and the lighting police all confused. But watch out, I gots the megawatt laser burn a hole in your retina Cree backup lights & I'll use them without hesitation

 

FYI mine are Projector retrofits and I have adjusted them accordingly where the beam focuses where they are supposed to go. Now the Fog Light HID's that is another story.

 

Mine are standard 35w 6k HID's in both Headlight and fog light and i have yet to be "flashed" or anything indicating that they are bothering people, and my trucks lifted which would be even more bothersome one would think. The only time i concern myself with the lighting from mine is when i am in a drive through i usually turn them off for the person in front of me.

But on another note, there was a jackass driving around the other night cutting people off and i happened to get behind him at the stop light, found a bump in the road that put my headlights right in his drivers side mirror and his rearview, i know he was not enjoying that one bit, but i was.

 

The only uncool thing about the retros is the pricing. Other than that they are the shit! The pricing of retros and the cheap prices of halogen kits will keep driving the use of HIDs in halogen housings.

 

This won't matter due to the scatter........to the lighting police retro purists. But that's another thread.........

 

You said it perfect, if i could afford retros i would do them in a heart beat, but they are way too damn expensive.

 

Yessir, I have higher priority projects before I get bored enough to drop that kind of coin on headlights. I have 2 flavors of optional lighting for inclimate or extra lighting so I'll make due until prices drop or I feel like going for it. The other thing is, that halogen bulb is on hand everywhere to replace if it goes out where a correct ballast would be a little bit different story. I can pass inspection or not get pulled over when the fogs or 500ffs might not be working.

 

Mine are both 8k HID's and I only have a 2" lift and I have yet to be flashed as well and I just got back from a 6hr night drive from Georgia. I understand though how one could get annoyed by them though. Glad my rearview mirror autodims
