    Check it out,need some input.
I have a headache rack with toolbox. Both from my 97 taco. The plastic bed rail caps are now cracked at ends of angle iron of rack.

I saw a pic in a thread where a guy pulled the bed rail caps off. I was thinking that, and going with a bed rack. Allpro has a nice one one but its lower than cab. It's priced right. And its bolted together in case some needs to be removed.
But theirs bolts to slide rail. I'm wanting to bolt slide rails to bed rack, and bolted to bed. I was going to call allpro with overall measurements when ready.
I went to ranch hand and they talked me out of one.
Went to another place,no tubing bender.
    Any thoughts?

Failed to mention I carry long boards, plywood, pipe etc everything a truck should haul. The allpro rack being lower than cab,I may have to get a hitch extension.

If your looking to just replace bed caps relentless has diamond plate ones that look awesome, as for my 98 i just used 2x2" angel iron and grade 8 bolts....

Bolt up to the first gen? I'm sure the first gen doesn't have holes preset for these rails.
