how many of you guys would buy a pre-trussed housing if it was an option?? say if you were able to buy a trussed housing to swap you current third into and send the stock back for a core charge...seems odd that nobody really makes a truss for these housings

    Maybe just repping the shop?

None of the pictures in the build are inside the Truck Shop and I've never seen it in the shop the past few years.

I would be interested, but what about rear ends like mine that already have shock mounts and tabs welded to them?

you could either do new mounts yourself once you get the housing, send in you existing to have trussed or just buy the truss and weld it yourself. To keep down time to a minimum it would probably be easiest to just take some measurements from the old housing and burn on some new tabs.

Im not worried about welding new tabs, just didnt know if you wanted to take cores with stuff welded to them. Shipping may be a bitch though so maybe just buy the truss. Let me know if you get something going

i would do that or a "weld it yourself" kinda deal sort of like what giant does with the trailing arms. Shipping the cutouts for the truss would be much cheaper, then the average buyer could have a local shop install it or if they know how then do it themselves. i dunno throwin another idea out there

i figured the majority of people would want to just buy the truss but also figured that some people wouldnt even know how to go about doing it properly so having the option to buy one complete would also be nice...need to put this bad boy to use soon

The top cap is for Camburg kits, it allows the shock to collapse to 14 3/8"

well find one!! all you have to do is pull off the front of the manual hub to get to it, it is so the c clips aren't the only thing holding it in

Why not build a steering kit? Just some tube, Bungs and heims. Hardest part would be measuring it so you can adjust it right.

EDIT: Now that I think about it Hit up sdhq. They should have the measurments on the one they built for cliff's truck if not hit up Cliff on TTORA or FB and ask him to measure. Or I will see him thursday and I can measure it.

The hard part is mating the inner to the steering rack, but Camburg now makes the inner clevis' so you can build the rest

$200  They are proud of those! Shit even building it yourself it would be like $400 with Heims and Bungs and Misalignment spacers

I know right, I was thinking the same thing. It would end up the same cost as just buying the complete TC ones lol
