    I guess it's a good thing Yan didn't have an 09 Tacoma with a back-up camera. :D
I guess it's a good thing he's not going to take that off-roading (even though he said he was getting a lift and new tires, right?). That tire and ground clearance may not be friends. WOW! I just noticed it's on a LONG BED too!!! I would hate to be tapped in the rear and have that upright arm come to my tailgate! At least bump navigation won't do any damage in the rear. I'm sure you're taking these comments to heart Yan... after all you were asking us right... "Tire Gate!?" Maybe now you can cut out a whole in the floor of your bed and install a lockable toolbox in place of that tire (sort of like a ridgeline if you will). Good luck.

From reading the title I though this thread was about some sort of SCANDAL involving someone's tires - I guess I had politics on the mind, HAHAHA

I honestly don't have an opinion on the "Tire Gate" - is it actually a GATE? Does it swing open?

I wouldn't put it on mine - it just seems to stick out a lot for my particular taste... but hey - man if you wanna rock it then you go out there and show off that spare tire!

Dude it's your truck if you like the look then keep it. Your likes are all about you and no one else. I have seen some trucks that look real bad but the mods can't just go away, yours come right off with a pull of the pin. A lift, bigger tires, and a matching spare should look real nice. Keep doing your thing!!;)

The owner said that it is more for people that go camping and need to have stuff in the back of the bed. Not sure why the front was higher on the truck it was a client truck..Bumpers are Aluminum so they don't weigh much more than stock.

that black taco is sweet.... i love that rear bumper... I was actually thinking of welding this bad boy on there and replacing the old bumper with it so it would stick in more.. adding a few pieces ofcocarse. It would be a great start to a free rear bumper with a swing out tire holder... maybe weld on a rack for some spare gas cans etc... and here is another pic for all the haters! :)

I think some people get thrown off because the wheel/tire sticks up higher than what people are used to. Look at all of the clearance you have now.
