Is there something that I missed, why did the law to give illegal immigrants in-state college tuition pass in our state... WTF, aren't they supposed to be deported? They are illegal after all. I would vote for the illegal immigrants to be fined and deported and the money given to LEGAL college goers.

We're not supposed to talk politics on TW from my understanding, but since you asked.

The DREAM Act establishes individuals, including undocumented immigrants, are eligible to pay in-state tuition rates at community colleges in Maryland, provided the student meets certain conditions relating to attendance and graduation from a Maryland high school, filing of income taxes, intent to apply for permanent residency, and registration with the selective service system (if required); makes such students eligible to pay in-state tuition rates at a four-year public college or university if the student has first completed 60 credit hours or graduated from a community college in Maryland; provides that students qualifying for in-state tuition rates by this method will not be counted as in-state students for purposes of counting undergraduate enrollment; and extends the time in which honorably discharged veterans may qualify for in-state tuition rates.

    A. What money are you talking about that should be given to legal students? They still have to pay, it's not like they are letting them study for free.
    B. If someone can jump through all of those hoops (see bold above), on top of the insanely dangerous journey it takes most to even get into the country, I am okay with them PAYING the same rates as those they went to highschool with.
    C. Deportation is not a viable solution to immigration

Also, what did CCW have to do with this election? It was not a ballot referendum. Is that really your biggest concern this election? Christ. People have some whacked out priorities.

Sorry, wont talk politics anymore, back to truck stuff.

Anyone looking to buy sliders between now and January? Hoping a GB starts up soon, and maybe get someone else in MD to do a joint shipping order to cut the cost of shipping from most of the west coast builders.

Intent to stop doing something illegal? What about all the folks that legally came here? My truck is dirty too.

Also Just to clear up the CCW question, there will be another appointment to the SCOTUS this term. With Woolard likely to be kicked up to the SCOTUS for certiorari by the 4th circuit, it will most likely be overturned as Heller was a 5-4 vote. Roberts is losing control of his court.

www.marylandshallissue.com for all your CCW questions.
