Take off the wheels and open the drums and clean them with brake clean it should help and thats cheap. If no then do the shoes and springs and stuff. Not too hard and pretty cheap also.

 

That's a day early, but better to be out and set up than to be late. I'll be bringing my bail-out bag and mobile gear with me to work on the 21st, that's for sure.

That's what I was gonna do next. Take the drums off and clean them. Was just gonna blow them out, but I'll try the cleaner.

 

blowing out the dirt won't be enough. Get the cleaner and go nuts with it, should take care of the issues. You could look into getting new shoes if they look worn out.

 

The shoes checked out at Just Brakes. And as far as cleaner.. its just normal brake cleaner right? Or is it different for drums?

 

You can try cleaning then and also lube the backing plate with molylube at the contact points.

 

Just normal brake cleaner should do the trick.
