No TRD for me either (SR5 4x4 Tow). My wife tried to talk me into the TRD but I said no.

My truck will do everything I want it to (drive through snow, tow a boat, carry 4 kids, haul fishing gear and yard waste) and more.

The only thing the TRD has that I would have liked is alloy wheels. If anybody has a good deal on OR rims let me know. :D

Made the dealer put the TRD Off Road wheels though.

Ended up putting in Bilstein 5100 and 285s later on and Sport hood

2005 sr5 prerunner 6 speed, non trd. That package might be helpful sometimes but we bought it used, so adding on that package wasn't an option
Still, I'm very happy with it!

my 2010 was an SR5 4x4 with tow and a few nice options...

    my 2012 is a TRD Sport 4x4.

I liked my 2010 just fine. Of course, I like the new one more.

Only reason I went for the TRD Sport was for the DBL Cab and 6 foot box. I would have preferred the locker over LSD but the 6 foot box was a must. The LSD is great too, and it works all the time - even in 2wd, unlike the locker.

Damn I miss my 4runner with locking diff though.

I have a 2012 SR5 and I am happy with it. My only regret is that I didn't get 4 wheel drive. The TRD's (at least in Florida) were all 4K to 5K more in price than the SR5's and I'm guessing this is due to packages they had on them. I just couldn't see spending that based on the fact I knew I was going to MOD it up using all the AMAZING info here on TW.

As a side note there was an XSP Packaged truck on the a few lots and they wanted 33K for them which was just blowing my mind. I didn't think that package was anywhere worth the extra coin.

Just my 2 cents....that a cup of coffee will make ya have to take a dump!

I went for the TRD Off Road. When I had my jeep I always regretted not getting the rubicon adding lockers and such was just one more thing added to my already long list. When I got my tacoma the difference between a non trd and trd was less than 2k. Money well spent and having a locker is just one mod I don't have to worry about.

First of all, to me "TRD" has always reminded me of "Turd." Can't have that. Secondly, 4WD just isn't important enough to me to justify the cost. Just sayin'.

12 Sport. Would have rather had OR, but of four dealers, the Sport had the most that I wanted and was the right color

I went with the TRD Sport 4x4 DC for, the limited slip, bilsteins (lifetime replacement from them, even on factory), the non-functional hood scoop to make me seem fast.

Did not go with the TRD off road, mainly because of the 3 leafs in the rear vs. 4 leafs in the rear, SR5 has the 4 leafs as well

Not having the fourth leaf really softens the rear, especially when you put some weight on it.

Is the TRD Sport limited slip different than the limited slip that came with my SR5? I went with the SR5 because it had everything I needed. Not necessarily everything I wanted because the atrac and rear locker are pretty cool on the trd offroad but for me I do 99% on pavement driving and wasn't willing to fork out thousands more for stickers and stuff I wont use.

2013 SR5, double cab, extended bed, 4x4, automatic, entune, backup cam with towing package. The thing is an f'n limo but suits my needs just fine. My only 3 requirements were 4 wheel drive, white and navigation. It only sees pavement and an occasional dirt road. I plan on some minor upgrades to make it a little more turd.
