I think it should be highly illegal to drive while tired and all businesses should impose a mandatory paid nap time.

I wonder if it will be legal to eat edibles on a plane ride from Colorado to Washington? That would make any flight enjoyable.....just as long as they serve at least 3 in-flight meals :p

Norml article so its not totally independent but they do their best to get straight facts

    http://norml.org/library/item/cannabis-and-driving-a-scientific-and-rational-review

This is a study that claims traffic fatalities went down 9% since mmj was introduced

    http://washingtonindependent.com/116418/study-medical-marijuana-saves-lives-reduces-drunk-driving

Another study that shows the diffrences between inexperianced cannabis users and experianced. TO JUST BE CLEAR IM NOT SAYING IT DOESNT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON EVERYONE. IM TRYING TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE TO THE ISSUE OF TOLERANCE IN EXPERIANCED AND INEXPERIANCED CANABIS USERS AND THE FACT THAT EXPERIANCED USERS SHOW LITTLE TO nO SIGNS OF IMPAIRMENT (sorry for caps)

    http://healthfinder.gov/news/newsstory.aspx?docID=661653

Local news testing a few people with officer present i hope the vid works

    http://kdvr.com/2012/05/17/web-poll-driving-high-vs-driving-drunk/

Personally and honestly i often have trouble telling if im high or sober... that is how minimal the effects of marijuana are at the doses that i take (1 bowl over 15 minutes good to great bud avg thc ratings above 17-18%) HELL just today as i was driving home sober i was thinking about this issue and i relized i felt high... even tho the last time i smoked was 6 hours before this... it really is that minor.

I have more anacdotal personal evidence involving many hours of experimentation with grand turismo 3 and studying the effects of cannabis alcohol and sobriety on laps times. But i dont think people here will take it worth a grain of salt so i will leave it out... but it does prove to me that marijuana does have an effect! but only enough to trim a 10th of a second or two off my avg lap times lol!

Eric i hope this helps and also these test involve smoking marijuana not edible consumtion.

Your lungs can only take so much smoke but its very easy to overdo it with edibles. Personally i have eaten a rice crispy treat that had alot of thc in it... and i wouldnt want to drive like that... hell it was enough to make me not want to smoke ever again. All i wanted was to sleep and let it be over with.

Once again to reiderate im not saying that smoking doesnt impair your driving. Im saying it depends on the tolerance and mentals effects of the individual. And at my end of the spectrum i feel safe driving under the influence of a small amount (1 bowl, 1/3 joint or .2-.3 grams of good stuff) and would trust someone else that has similar experiance.

Appologies for taking away the shenanigans im pretty much done with this soap box and i said what i wanted to to a challenging bunch of intelligent toyota owners.i just figure its relevant given the historic events that took place.

Trust me id rather be drinking some 12 yo single malt (SINGLETON!!) than arguing with people that dont want to listen. I consider eric a friend and he asked for some backings to my claims. I just hope they were enough to give some credit to my out of the box and somewhat insane thought process
