Well with the amount of turnover there this the housing market seemed to be affected very little like other parts of the country. Factor in the standard price gouging around a Post and you'd be quiet surprised about this shit hole.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
yup...listed my house there in Sep 09 and had it sold Dec 09. was happy about that. was only there 2 1/2 years and still made a slight profit.

I don't doubt they made money sitting on land. There are tons of stories like that around me. Some stubborn old folks dodge the city until the last possible moment and cash in :p

Sure didn't look like this when my family moved here from Texas in the early 90's.

Land appreciates with inflation and has 0 maintenance cost. Property tax is about your only expense.

Or as Twain put it: "Buy land. They've stopped making it."

    Yup

There was some pretty good land around the eastern Jordan Lake area not too long ago. Dunno if it's still there.

Both on my mind, the absolute worst time to get scheduled for this class. Also the fact that I am very sensitive to cold, I shaved my head and stopped wearing poly's to try and adjust to being cold and manage.
