I was wondering how a L/T 10 ply tire would ride and what it would do to my mileage. Looking at a Falken 265/75 R16

It'll make your truck ride like a dump truck and your gas mileage will suffer.

I think most on here will agree that Goodyear Duratracs, BFG A/T TKO, Hankook Dynapro, Michelin LTX AT2 are pretty good choices when it comes down to general all-purpose on/off road use.

Depends what you're looking for. The Goodyear Silent Armor is a great combination of on road and all terrain traction, especially with your winters up in Maine. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for.

That's the tire I meant, not the MS2s. I have the LTX AT2s and they are amazing tires. Even though they are more conservative than say the Duratrac, I've taken my AT2s through some unforgiving Texas limestone, granite, and sharp lake rocks and they have held up great.
