Picking up my tacoma 6cyl prerunner 2013 on thursday/friday.

For me to have the remote start/alarm what do i need?
If I get the viper installed will it void the warranty?
and if it doesn't has anyone had complications with getting warranty taken care of??
Should i get the factory alarm system for the viper system or is it unecessary?

I am getting this for 2k below MSRP and 3500 dollars in rebates(hopefully
    1500 for texas edition
    1000 for family discount
    1000 for college graduate.

I think i will be paying about 2900-3000 for a
    4x2 prerunner
    texas edition
    tow attachment
vehicle fabric protection crap(it came with it)
    jbl/entunes.

No, adding an aftermarket alarm will not void your factory warranty. If installed incorrectly, it may void the warranty on the part that is defective from the install but has to be proven.
Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

Yea thanks, I saw about the law in other posts but you know how dealerships will still give people shit about it. I will use a lawyer if I have to.

These are complicated installs. Get a really good installer or DIY. Things can get messed up.
