Ok i have posted a few threads about this but still not quite sure what the answer is.. i have an 05 2wd 5 lug access cab..currently have 215/70/15 on it..plan on getting some 31's..i dont know much bout this stuff..i just know what i want..i was hoping to put a 6 inch pro comp lift on it but am not sure if that is even possible...i dont believe it is from what research i have done...but i have not been able to find out for sure...the guy that is selling it gave me this information.."The box says 57096B and the instructions say Part Number 57096"
here are a few pics of my truck...if this isnt possible then i will probably just go with a 3 inch..thanks in advance for the help..

I know for the 5-lugger, most people are using the Ready Lift Kit. Fat Bob's Garage sell it for less than $200. The part number is
    42275-SKL-5L

Personally, If I wanted to run 31" tires, I would go with a 3" lift since I think they would look puny under a 6" lift. Also stay away from spacers for your lift if you have the money

6 inch isn't possible on the 5 lugs, but that's ok because a three inch lift is perfect. :D

i think that is what i am going to end up doing...i dont have a lot of money..whats the difference..if i have to wait a little longer so i can save some money for better quality then i will...if i go with the 6 inch i would most likely end up putting bigger than 31's but in another thread i was told that if i was even able to put a 6 inch(which they didnt think i could) i would only be able to put 33's top..is that right?

just remember... there are alot more expenses to a lift then just the lift and tires. you need to realize if you go to a 33 or bigger... a re-gear is in order. you dont have to of course... but when you grenade a transmission, you will remember these words im tellin you and be like.... shit... i shoulda listened. then you can call me up and ill re-gear your shit and do ur tranny swap... and i get my pockets filled with your coin. :D

damn right i would... haha the bearing kit for your truck is like 2 bills... the gears are another 4 and then install and shimming is like 400 in labor. that just your axle... your trans... that would cost you another 5-600 in labor. not fun man.

    Lifts..6 inch or 3 inch???

you can do a readylift 3inch and a 3 inch body to equal a 6 that is what i am about to do, but with a bigger lift is less gas mileage you might just want to do a 3 and clear 31s easy

    3 inch readylift
    http://readylift.com/c-107-tacoma-5-lug-sst-lift-kit-2005-2009-2wd-275f175r.aspx

    3 inch body
    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kit...t_c=1&t_s=20&t_pt=3680&t_pl=3372&t_pn=PER5603

the body lift is for my 2007 but the body mounts are the same so there is no difference

    hope this helps you
