3 inch lift with 33's or 6 inch with 35's

    I have a short bed 2012 Double Cab black tacoma Trd offroad. I was planning on getting a 3 inch lift with 33's but have recently seen a few pics of tacomas with 6 inch lifts on 35's. I had my mind set on the 3 inch with 33's because I have a short bed. Any recomendations on which looks better? Pics would be helpful

    Not a fan of drop bracket lifts so I vote 3" :)

    yes very much. but so will 33's. youll have to do some trimming either way.

    Really depends on what your plans for the truck are...

    From the sound of it, you're not doing much hardcore wheeling. I would recommend a 3" with 33's for you, inexpensive and pretty capable. If you're just going for looks, 6" and 35's look nice. You're going to have to trim the fender Liners and possibly bottom of the front flares either way. And remember that with 35's a re gear is pretty much a must.

    For me, 35's on a 3" were the best choice. Most ground clearance, and more stability. Already hacked the front end for 295's so it really isn't much more work.

    Bilstein 5100 F&R Eibach at .85 with top plate spacer, 1.5 AAL,LR UCA's Tinted Windows, Weathertech Floormats, Ultra Gauge, 20" light bar behind grill
    3'' with 33's, im in the process of doing that now have the lift installed just waiting on tires. I have a 2012 as well and if your like me I do not wanna hack my new truck apart just to fit bigger tires. Only minor trimming with 33's,plus IMO 32s look a little small for a 3''

    Yea I really don't want to have to much work done it right now but maybe in the future il cut and put 35's
    I'll probaly just start put with 33 Nitto mud graps

    I'd really be interested to compare pictures as well.. Stuck in the same boat as to which lift and tire size to go with. The look is very important to me but functionality off road has to be considered also.
