Depending on how the house was built or renovated over the years, it could have a second breaker box, but she'd probably know about it. I'm assuming that the boiler and the breaker box are both in the basement in which case the simpliest way to check would be to trace the wires from the boiler to the breaker box. She should also try to find a test light to make sure that the lines going to the boiler are really dead. If the line going to the boiler is hot, with the flooding they got there, the equipment might have an internal switch that needs to be reset. Also, I'm not sure what condition her house is in but there could be cut or crushed wires somewhere.

Thanks gents. She told me they did not flood just wind and rain. Weird thing is that it is not only the oil burner but the garage, part of the kitchen, a one room upstairs.

    I appreciate the help.

    Careful doing that....

Since the neighbors have the same issue, my bet is only one leg of the 240V line coming to the house is active (i.e. power has not been restored completely). Did the electrician (or electrical person) who looked at it put a meter on both lines and measure ~120V into the box on each individual line to ground?

Call the electric company and let them know only half the power is restored! 3 wires are normal (120V, 120V, GND/RTN)

Well i hate round sliders. These are flat so the girl can step on them and not slip off, plus I like how low pro they are and look more like a step then a slider. I'd rather have something stronger then a dented up slider

I've been debating on sliders, and wondered if rhino-liner would provide enough grip if they are also used as a step.

Demello seems to make some really strong armor. I don't think you'll have any problem denting those bad boys. I like their new sliders, the round slider part with the boxed in ends, but they're very expensive.

A group of us are trying to work with Jerry on getting a group shipping rate (we'd have the whole order palletized and shipped to one location). I don't know if you're interested but when we get ready to pull the trigger, let us know if you're interested. It'd save you a bunch on shipping!

Talk to Rob, he used grip tape on the top of his sliders so they could act as a step. I think I'm just going to bedliner them and see how slick they are.

I wish that stood for Bad Ass Mother Fucker or Bad Ass Metal Fab... Such a disappointment.

When he was looking for names for his new shop, I think someone threw out BAMF (meaning Bad Ass Mother Fucker) and he just got clever with it :D
