When do your dome lights come on??

I have 2012 Off Road TRD with Csjumpers leds for dome and map lights- Hit key fob, beeps and dome light comes on.

 

Hmmm it may be one of the door push pins that could be bad...so when you unlock it, something in one isn't releasing the power back

 

Damn...good thinking. I have no idea where to even start looking. I'll keep an eye on it and see how many times it doesn't turn on.

 

Weird - mine work as normal. I'd be curious to see what the solution is for this.

 

12 SR5 here, mine lights up when I unlock it using the key fob. I wish the dome light would also come on when I shut the engine.

 

I have a 2013 trd double. On fob unlock I have the beep (which I hate) and no interior light (which I hate). The light come one when the door is opened.

 

interesting...is your dome light set to ON, OFF, or DOOR?

 

And was the door locked when you pressed unlock?

With mine:
Door unlocked, press unlock on fob = no dome light.
Door locked, press unlock on fob = dome light
Door unlocked, open door = dome light

And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE no dome light when turning off and removing the key! My F150 turned it on and I hated that.

ETA: Of course this is all with the dome light switch set to "door".

 

My 05's interior light comes on when I unlock the doors with the remote.

 

so I figured it out on my truck. If you unlock the truck the lights come on. It is a slow fade on. If you do not open the door within 30 or so seconds the door re-lock themselves and the lights go off. The next time you unlock the truck after it re-locks itself the light will not come on when unlocked they will come on when the door is opened.

 

actually I was looking at this, because it happened yesterday and I was like WTF?

Mine is a 2011 TRD Sport, and it always turn on the dome light when I unlock it with the fob... only yesterday when I unlocked it, but didn't open any door...

 

2012 SR5 led'sin maps, and dome. unlock with key fob, lights come on.

 

2007 TRD Sport, dome lights fade on and off with keyfob push. dome light set to DOOR.

 

My 2015 DC SR5 done light comes on when I unlock it via key fob
