I got a better deal than they initially offered me, they quoted me $206 a piece and after mounting and balancing it was like 997 total, but i had 2 defected wranglers so that was 120$ off plus I got no tax because of my montana drivers license :woot:

Appreciate all the info on this thread. My '06 was calling for new treads and the DuraTracs won.

Though I couldn't stop with tires, I also ended up with new rims to show off the Duratracs - MB Vortexs.

I had a tire guy tell me that was an issue with the BFG at's once... They had to be mounted white out... I think he just didn't know wtf he was talking about cause clearly it's a non issue....

Mine are mounted white to the inside. I haven't noticed better traction in reverse so Id say its ok :)

I've got almost 38k on mine white letters in no issues. Still plenty of tread.

Pioneer Double Din with BT, iPod, etc. Boston Acoustic components in all 4 doors with a Sony amp, powered 8" sub. Ultra gauge, Tom Tom...
Ordered my second set of 285's yesterday. They will be mounted on these on Friday! I'll get them on the truck Friday night or Saturday afternoon!

My first set has just over 39,000miles on them. I can definitely get 5000-10000 more on them, but not with the winter on the way. One of them will become a full-size spare, the other 3 will sit in my barn untill I need them. They have an 1/8"-3/16" of tread left.

If anyone would like one as a spare, let me know. Local would be nice, but if you are patient and don't mind paying the shipping, I can do that too.

I will post them up in the buy/sell/trade section when the new ones are mounted!

@OP Just curious what made you choose these over say the Cooper STT or Nitto Trail Grapplers or say the Kumho Road Venture MT. Those are some badass tires though. I wish i couldve found those when I was looking for some M/Ts. They dont look any bigger than my AT3 and would probably have fit just fine on my truck.

A lot of people are picking up load C versions for cheap, you can get them for under 200 per tire. But load E are more expensive. This is prob why some get them so cheap. I think cost on load E is like 225$, so unless they give you a free tire, I'm going to say load C.

I just paid $292 each, mounted and balanced. I did not have the tpms sensors swapped to my new rims.

Thinking about getting these put on. I can get a good deal on the load c. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rocks with the load c. I don't do much rock clawing but sometimes when your wheeling, there is only one way to go lol. I'm afraid these might punched. Has anyone used the load c wheeling and was fine np. I have a ome 3 inch on my truck now. I want the 265/75/16s. Should I be fine if I go over rocks?

Wow dude. They still look great. As long as you rotate them every 5k I think I should get the same wear out of them. How is the mpg with them. Should be right around 16 with them I would say.

Yeah I rotated them every oil change and they have worn fairly even. I am starting to experience a little "whaa whaa whaa whaa" noise but they do have almost 50k on them. Only wheeled with them about 4 times, a fair amount of dirt roads and I am a "spirited to aggresive" driver. One of the reasons I got these was the light weight considering the design. Also the snow rating and the fact that they look bad ass. :D I did lose about 1 MPG, but that was to be expected. FWIW I paid $640 OTD for these when they first came out, now it's close to $1000.
