I'd like to say hi since im here to dig some info (mostly for parts interchangeability)

My ride is a V6 3.3L 1991 MR2 and it's my daily driver along as my test mule for numerous unimaginable projects.

There are, i've stolen lots of parts from other cars that were deemed impossible and insane

    LS430 (big brakes)
    Supra MK4 (Rotors)
    IS350 (drum brakes)
    Supra MK3 (modified axles)
    Sienna 3mz VVTi engine
    Avalon 1mz VVTi electronics
Solara v6 MT gear box w/ forward shifter selector

Right now im out for a look out for a Extended TOB for my gearbox as it's going from a Dual mass to a Single mass Flywheel. Anyone did the TOB swap from the TSB they wanna give me? :D

mine would look like this, flat as a pancake

and then i saw this (hot dam)

it's a different gear box that uses dual mass (thicker) and my setup is for skinny single mass flywheel so the TOB won't reach far enough to release the disk.

it's hard to imagine but truck flywheel you guys use are twice as thick as the ones you'll see on camry's or light duty cars.

Yea, our's are thicker to take the added stresses of towing.

So by single mass you mean you want a smaller flywheel.??

my single mass is the stock setup, it's what i've always been running. the problem is the new gearbox is spaced further away so i need to make up for that space with a taco TOB

i worded it wrongly but im replacing the gearbox with a newer setup, not the actual flywheel

OOOoooo. kK I gotcha now. Interesting custom set up. If your going permance wish there are light weight version of our flywheels available. Might run you a cheaper price then a stocker too.

i don't think it will bolt up though lol, PCD would be off and the starter ring gear will grind off the outer bell housing :)

3vze flywheel is bolt in but that thing is heavy and will hurt performance so truck flywheels are out of the question.

Actually. Try making a thread on www.xr-u.com for that very thing. A lot of guys in the performance crowd have removed and upgraded theirs. Some people might have stockers available :D
