    you never know the limits of your tires until you FIND the limits of your tires.
    drive faster, break harder, turn quicker until you spin out or crash or something like that. it's the only way to safely know. :cool:

    It depends on what you are using the slider on/against. If you are pivoting against and obstacle (tree/boulder, etc.) then the further they stick out the more protection they offer when the truck is not completely level.

    If your slider is tight and you are against a tree and truck is level you're fine, not tilt the truck off camber slightly and that tree is into the door/cab/everything else.

    I choose poor wording of my previous comment. I should of said "I like them close and tight because I have no need for anything else and "assume" the majority of others on TW don't either."

    I know you wheel hard & I know why other people choose them, but for me I like being able to fit in between spots...I don't need to pivot off rocks or worry about off camber crap into my doors.

    If I had kick outs I would be in some trouble with some of the tight spots I go into

    I actually was told by a guy with a DCLB with a rack tell me he got the kick outs just so he could use them as a step to get stuff off his rack. Sounds good to me and a great idea. I just have no need.
